21 DAYS of
prayer
January 5th - 25th
At Purpose Church, prayer is not an afterthought, it is our foundation. We pray first because we trust that God is always working with purpose. This season is not just about starting a church it’s about preparing hearts, families, men and women, and the next generation.
21 Days Of Prayer & Fasting
As we prepare for the launch of Purpose Church Houston, we are committing to 21 intentional days of prayer and fasting, from January 5th –25th united around one conviction: To Love God on Purpose. Each week of prayer reflects both a spiritual focus and a practical expression of our church’s values, which are to know God, to grow in God and to go for God.
Along with prayer, we invite everyone to fast something meaningful during these 21 days. Fasting reminds us that God is in control and that even what we surrender is part of His plan. We encourage everyone participating to choose something to fast or lay aside for these 21 days as we seek God together.
WEEK 1 | GOD’S PLAN
Trusting What God Is Doing in Us
As we begin 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting, we start where every move of God begins with surrendered hearts and aligned lives.
Before God builds something through us, He always does a deeper work within us. This first week is about slowing down, listening closely, and trusting that God is intentionally shaping us for what’s ahead. As we prepare for the launch of Purpose Church Houston, we recognize that this isn’t just about opening doors it’s about God aligning hearts.
This week we pray first.
We pray for clarity, unity, and sensitivity to God’s voice.
We lay down our own plans, timelines, and assumptions, and we choose to trust God’s direction even when we don’t fully understand it.
God’s plan is never rushed, random, or reckless. It is intentional, purposeful, and good. And when we align our hearts with His will, we position ourselves to walk confidently into everything He has prepared for us.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.”Proverbs 3:5 (NLT)
Let this be a week of alignment, surrender, and faith as we trust what God is doing in us so He can do more through us.

WEEK 2 | GOD’S PEOPLE
Building Healthy People Who Build God’s House
God’s plan is always carried forward through God’s people.
Purpose Church Houston is not built on programs, personalities, or platforms it is built on people who love God and love people on purpose.
This week, we focus our prayers on the hearts and relationships that make up our church family. We pray for healthy leaders, unified volunteers, strong families, and servant hearted people who reflect the love of Jesus in everything they do. Before God builds a strong church, He builds strong people.
Unity is not automatic it is spiritual. It must be prayed for, protected, and practiced. As we prepare for launch, we ask God to shape us into a church marked by humility, honor, grace, and mutual love. We desire to be people God can trust with His presence, His purpose, and His people.
We believe when hearts are healthy and relationships are aligned, God’s house becomes a place where lives are changed, families are strengthened, and generations are impacted.
“How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! ” Psalm 133:1 (NLT)
This week, let us pray intentionally for one another, with one another, and for the work God is doing in and through His people as we build His house together

WEEK 3 | GOD’S PROVISION & PURPOSE
Trusting God to Supply What Is Needed
As we move into Week 3 of our 21 Days of Prayer, we shift our focus from preparation to provision. This is the week we pray with confidence knowing that the God who called us is the God who sustains us.
We are believing God not just for enough, but for everything required to fulfill His purpose financially, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Provision is not something we chase; it’s something we trust God to release as we walk in obedience.
This week, we choose faith over fear. We silence the questions of “How will it happen?” and anchor our hearts in the truth that God funds what He authors and supplies what He starts. Purpose Church Houston is not built on human effort alone it is built on God’s faithfulness.
As we pray, we declare that nothing needed for this launch, for our families, or for God’s assignment on our lives will be lacking. God is already ahead of us, making provision for every step.
“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs…”Philippians 4:19 (NLT)
Let this week strengthen your faith, steady your heart, and remind you: God is our source, and He is more than enough
